Formerly known as Snakes and Ladders we were invited to visit on their re-opening (March 2018) after it was taken over by Partyman World, which is also part of Marsh Farm.
On arriving we had to take a photo opportunity of the new sign.
On first impression inside it looked very clean and had been painted to Partyman colours. All of the previous play frames and equipment were still in place but had undergone cleaning and refreshing (I had been following updates on their Facebook page). Gary on the front desk was very welcoming and directed us to where the cafe and seating area was.
To the left on entry is a couple of smaller play areas for younger children aged 0-5. In the main area there is a small go-kart track, the main soft play and some role playing areas which has been updated with some new toys. There is a vets, supermarket and construction area. My daughter loves this kind of play so spent most of her time in there. We have found on subsequent visits that the go-kart track has not been working for about 6 months now and no update as to when these will be working again.
Whilst the little ones played Rob and I ordered some breakfast which did take a while but it came out hot and tasted great. The cafe offers a variety of hot and cold food aswell as refreshments and their cake looked amazing!
Overall it was a nice morning out for everyone and even Jake
(5 months old) had a little go in the baby area on the swings.
There is a good sized football playing area with goals and basketball hoops.
I went in and played with the older two for a little while which was fun to see what they enjoyed the most – mainly taking it in turns to shoot ball pit balls at each other!
There is now a stage area for the staff and children to sing and dance on and we even got to see the Partyman mascot. It was fun to see all the children enjoying some party dances and I even joined in too.
The toilet area was clean and there is a dedicated nappy change area with tables and mats each with a bin next to them which is handy as you’re
not using a toilet for changing.
Partyman World has 9 sites across the South of the UK and offer parties, private hire, SEN mornings monthly and lots of themed events throughout the year. Prices are very reasonable and if soft play is a place you visit often they even now offer (as of May 2019) memberships on a monthly basis.
